I've been home for about a week now, but for any of you out there that know what it's like to not only buy a house, but buy a house that isn't in 80%+ condition, it's probably not too hard to understand that not only when you start to tackle the To-Do List for the house does it not shrink, it in fact only gets larger.
The house itself is pretty awesome -- I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with my hubby's choice. It's pretty tiny, but since it's just the two of us, that isn't so much of a problem -- in fact, there's one bedroom that has no use yet, so it's just kind of... a storage place. The bedrooms aren't large enough to cram a lot of stuff in, but for me, that's actually a good thing.

I have to say, the only room I have a huge dislike for is the kitchen, and we're going to be renovating that within the next couple months, so... For now? Livable.
The location is probably the best part; it's hard to tell until you walk about a block up the street, but we're right in the middle of town, making it easy to walk everywhere, from the mall to.. whatever, wherever. This is nice, since neither of us drive.
Anyways, enough about all of that. It's going pretty well, but like I said... Fix one thing, and two more seem to break. That simple fact makes it difficult to figure out when we're going to get the computer room in good enough shape that I can actually set up MY computer, but, we're already picking out paint for the walls and wood to build the wrap around desk. I imagine we'll get that done before we even start on the kitchen.
I'd think it'd suffice to say, I'm very very tired. Tired, but the happiest I've been in a very, very long time. Shawn has been exceptionally sweet, it feels wonderful to work on a project together, and collapsing on the couch beat tired after a days work to watch Battlestar Galactica together just makes it all perfect. Man, I have got a really *@%$ing good life.
PS: Customs guards are annoying. It took me an hour to get through because, I guess me being the only non-Canadian going through that flight, they were really freakish bored, and only gave me a 2 month visa. Ah well. Roadtrip to Duluth!
