First, I'd like to take a moment to say.. Yeah. I live. And no. Aside from a few sketches and some personal art I felt inspired to do for a few minutes, art's been on the bottom of my list of things to do lately. It's not that I don't want to -- in fact, I'll admit, part of me feels dead when I don't draw.

But, above my imminent trip back to the States for a few months for jury duty, and the other day-to-day stresses that just keep piling up, my fiance and I are being kicked out of our home. Okay, maybe not quite that drastic -- but his aunt who we're renting from can't afford to rent the house to us as cheap as she has anymore, and we can't afford to buy the place from her right now, as much as we would've liked to if we didn't have a nice chunk of debt floating over our heads, and about 10k more going to be accumulated over the next few months.

So, now we're on the hunt for a house, and I'm, begrudgingly, trying to figure out the process of getting a job here in Canada. We'd get married, but then I might have to stay in the country and not be able to go to my sister's wedding in October -- that's just not acceptable.

Thus, I am stressed. I'm not letting it get to me, but the easiest way to avoid letting it grab hold is to focus on day-to-day responsibilities I NEED to take care of -- everything else is second place, and right now, I just don't have room for second place. I don't even play WoW as much as you all think I might be.



Now, onto what I REALLY want to talk about. Because it's not as emo.

I am not a hateful person. In fact, part of my resolution to myself has been to stop hating altogether -- to just let things go that annoy me, to maturely approach all the situations in my life so I'm never angry, never annoyed... Just content. Every now and then, something really erks me and I can't help it... But after a few hours or days, I snap out of it. Nothing out there is worth my energy enough to be hated.

Alas... I think I found it.

What is it, you ask?
... DEATH KNIGHTS.

First, there's the class. Blizzard fucked up. Either that, or they looked at Paladins, Hunters, and Shamans, and said... Huh. I don't think there's enough over-powered classes in this game! In PvE, I don't really care too much -- there's so many of them that nobody gives a crap if one's doing a ton of damage. It's the nature of the class to be super powerful... In fact, you must suck immensely if you can't beat everyone else. It's the nature of the class that it's just that good, and from what I've seen, pretty fool-proof.

Then, there's PvP. Sure, my mage can two shot one if I get lucky (and unnoticed); as a fire mage, as long as no one pays attention to you, it's the natural course of things. However, to be quick about it: if I am, I'm screwed. And what sucks about DK's.. There's no way to get the hell AWAY from them. Admittedly, I am very terrible at PvP, and even more terrible as a mage, but suddenly finding yourself at the graveyard before you knew what happened? NNNGH.

Secondly... There's the players. There are some that realize the potential of the class, Blizzard's mistake in their entire existence but at least, if they pull off something great, aren't absolute dicks about it. But then there's: "Hey, I just solo'd an elite two levels higher than me, SUCKERS!" ... If you CAN'T, as DK, you need to stop playing WoW.

I agree the same matter about other overpowered classes, such as low-level hunters; at level 28 I solo'd a 30 elite, PLUS three adds. And I solo'd many, many of the group quests on my hunter when I first hit Outlands. But with a hunter's abilities... How could you not? Sure, you might need a few potions, but let's be serious: the game is NOT that hard. Especially when Blizzard gives you ALL the tools... Unless you're a priest. Feel for the priesties. <3

This is quite a long post so I'll wrap it up, but I wanted to emphasize this point -- gloating about anything, especially something that has been done by many, many other people, makes you look retarded. Do the world, and yourself, a favor and find some humility and some brains. And realize that accomplishing something on a video game as your day's highlight is kinda lame.
